Windows 7

• go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Remote
• Check “Allow connections…”
• click “select users…” and add your user username

Connecting to your Desktop from Windows

• Start Remote desktop
• enter your hostname (ie hostname.nceas.ucsb.edu, “hostname” can be found on a sticker on your computer) and click connect
